By utilizing the app, users can scan target images featured on the pages of the Smart Manufacturing comic book. These materials are accessible through the app or at specific MFG Day events organized on a national scale by the National Association of Manufacturers in collaboration with the Manufacturing Institute. For those without a physical copy of the comic book, there is an option to electronically receive it for printing in grayscale or color.

Getting started with the app is straightforward:

1. Open the Smart MFG app.
2. Scan pages of the Smart Manufacturing comic book to initiate the AR experience.
3. Select your drone material and performance specifications during the design review process.
4. Produce your drone within a virtual factory environment enhanced by AR technology.
